7 Famous Celebrities Who Have Endorsed Weight Loss Products
Everyone seems to be looking for a way to lose weight. And, often, we look to celebrities for advice on such matters. Who can blame us, when these folks look so great and tell us that this product or that product is how they got there? Here are seven famous celebrity weight loss spokespeople.
-
Kim and Kloe Kardashian – The Kardashian sisters have promoted Quick Trim products. Kloe has even given credit to Quick Trim for helping her lose 20 pounds in just four weeks.
-
Valerie Bertinelli – By now, we’ve all seen Valerie Bertinelli’s Jenny Craig’s ads. She lost over 40 pounds on the program. To her credit, she has continued to be one of their spokespeople after taking the weight off, because she’s been able to keep it off for more than 2 years.
-
Marie Osmond – Marie Osmond lost 50 pounds with Nutri System, and has been their primary spokesperson ever since. Osmond used the NutriSystem plan while competing on television’s “Dancing with the Stars”, so we’re pretty sure that six hours of dancing each day didn’t hurt her weight loss efforts either. She, too, however, has kept the weight off for two years.
-
Kirstie Alley- Alley lost 75 pounds on Jenny Craig, famously appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show in a bikini just after her weight loss. But, sadly, she gained the weight back and is working on developing her own weight loss program to help her take the weight off again.
-
Jenny McCarthy – Jenny McCarthy got attention when she became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers after gaining eighty pounds during her pregnancy with her son. McCarthy, who had previously posed in Playboy, took one year to lose the baby weight with the help of Weight Watchers.
-
Anna Nicole Smith – Smith’s battle with her weight was highly publicized, particularly since she got her start as a jeans model. She promoted Trim Spa for weight loss for several years. After her premature death, the product and its side effects were highly scrutinized, though no direct connection between the two was ever made.
-
Kathie Lee Gifford – Former Regis Philbin sidekick and current host of NBC’s Today once promoted Slim Fast as having helped her lose some extra pounds.
Other recent promoters include Sarah Rue and Queen Latifah for Jenny Craig and Jennifer Hudson for Weight Watchers.
Some celebrities, just like some of us regular folks have had great success with some of these popular weight loss programs. However, it isn’t likely a good idea to choose a weight loss program simply because you like their current spokesperson.
Before you begin any weight loss program, be sure to check with your doctor and be sure that the program is one you can stick to. No weight loss program works like magic, and many of these programs can prove to be quite expensive. So, before you pick a program because it worked for someone else; be certain it’s a plan that you can really live with for the long term.
