Having your own equipment at home can make it easier to complete your workouts, especially when you cut out driving time. You have no excuse to skip a workout when all you have to do is walk into the next room.
2. Have a workout plan in place: Lots of folks just go to the gym and kind of play by ear what they will be working out that day. Not planning leads to poor workouts and missed muscle groups. Having a plan ensures that every muscle group of your body is worked out week in and week out. It is also easier to track progress and see when you plateau so you can change to a new plan. If you are benching 185 on the bench, then 245 in 1 month isn’t probably realistic.
